Why offer our own Maintenance Plan?
The reasons for us offering this service are very simple – we have seen too many customers being ripped off by scam insurance companies.
It has been well documented in the news that many people have been receiving phone calls from ‘Insurance’ companies, claiming that they would take care of their satellite system and, if anything was to go wrong, an engineer would call straight away to fix the problem.
Like all these schemes it sounds brilliant over the phone, so you ’sign up’ there and then, pass your credit card details on and sleep better at night knowing if the dish falls down in the high winds, you’re covered. Unfortunately, in many cases, this just isn’t true. We have heard many horror stories, commonly from people who have spent hours calling a premium rate phone number, costing them a small fortune, ending in nothing but a higher blood pressure, and a faulty satellite which has not been seen to.
We even had an elderly customer of ours who was booked in for an installation, who received a phone call insisting she must sign up, which she did, paying a substantial amount of money in the process – and this is even before she had her viewing card! Fortunately, after many hours of going back and forth and speaking to many people (including the Office of Fair Trading), CleerVu managed to get this lady her money back. As you can imagine we were very angry about this situation, however the experience inspired us to make sure our customers who want a maintenance plan, could easily and affordably have one.

Our Sky TV Maintenance Plan is in-house, you can phone, pop in to our shop in Douglas for a face-to-face chat, or send us an e-mail. Whatever route you choose, we guarantee that you will be looked after promptly, carefully and above all professionally. Our plan offers the following:
- Priority Service Calls
- No Repair, Callout Charges, Parts or Labour to pay
- Replacement of any faulty equipment i.e. Dish, LNB, Cable, Digibox
- Cover against storm damage e.g. winds over 60mph (Not usually covered under standard warranty)
- Expert advise over the phone
- Fully qualified engineers from the Islands longest established Aerial and Satellite company
- Basically we’ll do whatever is required to get your system working again
