CleerVu win prestigious Sky Award
Cleervu Aerial &
Satellite Specialists in Douglas, Isle of Man has seen off competition
from other electrical stores across the local and UK region 3 to win the title
of Regional Independent Retailer of the Year 2006 in a competition organised
by Sky. In recognition of Cleervu?s achievements, Sky has awarded
the company a prize of £5,000 to invest in the continued growth of
its business.
The Sky Independent Retailer
Awards were established with the aim of rewarding achievement and promoting
excellence among Sky's network of authorised sales agents. The
awards attracted hundreds of entries from firms across the UK and Cleervu
was among four retailers who went through to the shortlist for the award
for the best retailer in its local region. At an awards ceremony held
at The Celtic Manor Resort in Cardiff on 14 September 2006, Cleervu
fought off stiff competition from the three other shortlisted nominees
to be presented with the award for the best regional independent retailer
in its area.
The award was presented to Tom and Susan Maclaren of Cleervu by Tim Wright, Sky's Head of Independent Retail and Distribution, at the event which was attended by retailers from across the UK. Beverley Knight provided entertainment for the evening and there was also a charity auction which raised almost £6000 for the Chicken Shed Theatre (Sky's chosen charity partner) and Promise Dreams.

CleerVu in the Pink!
Cleervu Aerial & Satellite Specialists in Douglas, Isle of Man has played an active part in raising several thousand pounds for a local Manx charity, with our contribution being just under £1000! CleerVu donated £20 for every new Sky customer who joined between 21st October and 31st October, and also rewarded those customers with £20 in Shoprite vouchers.
This was all part of the breast cancer awareness month organised by the breakthrough breast cancer charity. Our team of engineers donned their pink shirts and were proud to be associated with raising money for such a worthy cause.

CleerVu have a long and proud tradition in raising money for local Manx charities, in particular the CleerVu Classic Golf competition which was one of the most popular tournaments played at Douglas Golf Club.
