The switchover date for the Isle of Man to enter the world digital television has been confirmed – 18th June 2009.
We are going to be one of the first regions in the UK to make the move to Digital TV and all the fantastic benefits that it brings – especially for Manx residents whose TV reception has suffered in a few remote regions.
This means that in addition to the five traditional terrestrial TV channels, the Island will receive around 20 of the most popular Freeview channels as standard. The list of channels that we have been led to believe are going to be available for Isle of Man residents are:
BBC1, BBC2, BBC3, CBBC CHANNEL, BBC NEWS 24, ITV, C4, ITV2, ITV3, MORE 4, E4, ITV 4, QUIZCALL, CITV, BBC4, CBEEBIES, BBC PARLAIMENT, CHANNEL 5, FILM 4 + 1, COMMUNITY CHANNEL
As the Isle of Man’s longest established aerial and satellite company CleerVu are well positioned to give you the lowdown on the options available to help make the switchover as smooth as possible for Manx residents. View our Digital Switchover Guide for further details about the switchover or call us on 01624 623979 to speak to one of our friendly staff members.
